About Me

I'm just a small-town boy, who has traveled the world a bit, and returned home, so I'm not too big on this third person bio stuff.  Been there, done that.  I'll just tell you about myself, if that's okay.  I am a North Carolina based portrait, equestrian, and wildlife photographer.  Self-described as a thinker, philosopher, photographer, and geek, but mostly just a dreamer!  I won't pretend that I have staff of dozens, writing copy, editing images, and managing my business affairs.  However, for what it is worth, I have won awards, been published and all that, and so it seems, has everyone else.  What truly matters though, is if you like my art!  The primary focus of my photography is the sights, scenes, and wildlife from my home state of North Carolina, from "Manteo to Murphy" as the saying goes.  However, I still love to travel to other special places when the opportunity arises.  

I love to get outside and explore!  It doesn't matter the season, I want to be outdoors in nature, when possible, and am comfortable and respectful, in the company of animals, domestic and wild.  After 40+ years of roaming the beaches, mountains, and forests, I hope that my love of the great outdoors comes through, and you will see something familiar in a new way, or something you have never seen before.
